I absolutely love the fall! I was born in October and love Halloween and Thanksgiving. In the North East, everything is so colorful and vibrant during this time of year. I’ve been thinking about Halloween and wondered if it was possible to find healthy treats? Is it a ridiculous idea? Not exactly, I’ve discovered that sweets can be created using healthier ingredients. Confections made with natural ingredients, such as organic cane sugar, are healthier than those created using artificial substances.
Here are a few websites I discovered offering healthier choices:
Natural Candy Store: They sell organic, vegan, gluten-free, and allergen-free candy. They have a wide selection of candy ranging from lollipops, gummies, jelly beans, chocolate and other goodies. There’s a section for organic Halloween treats. http://www.naturalcandystore.com/
YummyEarth: Two dads came up with this gem — they wanted to provide chemical-free treats for their children. Their candy is free of artificial colors, flavors, corn syrup and other chemicals. http://www.yummyearth.com/
Whole and Natural: Provides candy and snacks, such as popcorn, pretzels, and cookies made with all natural ingredients. http://www.wholeandnatural.com/servlet/StoreFront
