I’m on a quest to find the best wheat-free, gluten-free pizza available. For those of us who cannot have wheat or gluten, it’s hard to enjoy old favorites — like pizza. I didn’t develop a problem with wheat, gluten and sulfites until later in life. I don’t know if it was a reaction to an antibiotic or having root canal. It seems that a little while after both of those occurred; I started to have auto immune issues.
I’ve tried Amy’s brand of wheat-free, gluten-free pizzas and Udi’s Gluten-Free Three Cheese Pizza. They were good, but not like the pizza you get at a pizzeria. Research led me to another brand that got top marks on About.com. Their 2012 Reader's Choice Awards revealed Joan's GF Great Bakes New York Style Pizza as the winner. I’ve checked the website and I have to say, I like the looks of this pizza. The crust appears to be thick and soft. You can check the store locator on the site to purchase at a market near you. I can’t wait to try it!
